Spoiler alert: the potential game-winning shot that Aaron Gordon hit with 5 seconds left did not end up being a game-winner. Also some really weird (in my professional opinion) stuff happened after that which has to be seen to be believed. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, well at 30 frames per second (or 60 if you’re a fancy-pants fancyperson) the end of this one is a whole heck of a lot of words.
I’m a big fan of Gordon, he’s great, but I think maybe he’s doing a little too much now. The Magic suck right now, so in that sense it’s fine for him to overextend himself, see what he can do, but he keeps taking these horrible threes like he’s some sort of sharpshooter. Stepback threes are cool, but there’s a reason not many players make a habit out of them. Maybe he could pick his spots better? At this point, the Magic want to lose, so he can do whatever he wants, but a showcase of an efficient AG would be nice to see as the season comes to an end.
