Here’s my opinion: Ben McLemore isn’t aggressive enough in getting shots up. Since the only thing he can do in the NBA is score points, he becomes a zero on the court if he’s not looking to score. He needs to make it a point to take shots, and his teammates need to try to find him in his spots (his “spots” being anywhere on the court, as far as I’m concerned).
You know how I know that this is my opinion? Because it’s factually correct, just like all my opinions are. Some people don’t know where they stand on certain issues because they’re wishy-washy and their opinions are wimpy. DTB’s opinions are the opposite of wimpy. They are steadfast. And correct.
The Grizzlies have clearly given up winning games (see: passive Ben McLemore getting 37 minutes), but that’s the perfect time for McLemore to flip that internal switch of his and start trying to score more points. Then, if everything goes perfectly, his expiring contract becomes an asset next season, and he quickly gets traded to a team with a winning culture so he can actually properly develop for the first time in his five-year career.
