Emmanuel Mudiay 19 Points Full Highlights (3/9/2018)

It’s a well-known and well-advertised fact that I have a tendency to overdose on hype whenever a player has a good first half. My assumption is that, if they have a good first half, they should have an equivalently good second half. Unfortunately for my fragile, arythmic heart, things never play out like they should. A player scoring twenty in the first half will rarely score forty for the game. Then I come down from my hype-induced high and spend the next few days in a depressive funk.

Let’s flip the situation around. What if a player scored no points in the first half, then scored nineteen points in the first half, as Emmanuel Mudiay did? It would seem like that player would be limited to just nineteen points for the game, since there is no more game left to be played. What if I told you that we could use a TIME MACHINE to selectively go back in time, re-play the first half ONLY, then use the same time machine to go FORWARD in time to the point right after the game ended? Would the player in question, armed with the knowledge that they had just torched a team for nineteen points, be able to go back in time to the first half and score another nineteen points, thereby totaling 38 for a game?

I would love to try it out, unfortunately, my time machine is out of commission right now. I’ll be spending most of today trying to fix it because the daylight savings time change is coming up, and if I don’t get this damn time machine working, I’ll be left behind in the temporal void while everybody else transports forward an hour in time.
