Mike “Musc Ox” Muscala is the longest tenured player with Atlanta, tied with Dennis Schroder at five years. It’s literally only him, Schroder, and Kent Bazemore that remain from that 60-win Hawks team. Talk about blowing it up! I, personally, would’ve probably kept Paul Millsap over him. Maybe Austin Daye as well.
So what that means is, yes, you figured it out, that it has taken Muscala five seasons just to score 19 points. Not even 20. Just 19. And that apparently is just fine for the Hawks FO who want to just keep him around forever.
I don’t want to sound too harsh. I’ve liked him ever since the 2013 draft where for a few minutes it seemed like he was going to the Bucks.
