Now that Russbrickthrees Chasereboundsbrook has achieved the one goal he for the whole season, which was average a triple-double, let’s give major props to Steven Adams for making it all possible. Any normal egocentric bigman in the NBA would never let a midget chucker run in and grab all of their well-earned rebounds. But Adams boxed out for the whole season so that the midget could pad his stats, and he didn’t complain even one time, even though he ended up with only 24 defensive rebounds on the season.
Luckily, the midget isn’t usually in a position to steal the offensive rebounds away from Adams, so his numbers in that category are still really good. Like, really good. Way up there. Best in the league perhaps. It’s that stat that makes him, in my opinion, the second most valuable player on the Thunder. He gets so many extra possessions for his team, so that Mr. Midget Chuckmaster can brick a three and look totally unrepentant.
