I’m having so much fun watching the playoffs right now. This first round is nuts, most of the series are at least a bit competitive and the one that wasn’t, was non-competitive in an exciting way. I just watched the Thunder featuring RubsSack WorstBitch, Paula Georgette, and Carmelo Anthony lose to the Jazz, and I can’t help but wonder if they’re missing Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis right now.
It’s easy to say that OKC made a mistake with the trade, but you just know that both those dudes wouldn’t be playing nearly as well on a team with Westbrook completely dictating everything on offense. Sabonis would be getting Jerami Grant-like touches, and Oladipo would be like a not-totally-washed-up mini Carmelo. On the Pacers, Oladipo gets to be the man, and Sabonis gets to be the, forgive my verbiage, “garbageman”. He’s opportunistic, is what I’m trying to say.
Hopefully the Pacers pull out game seven and advance, otherwise they’ll be in the same boat as the Thunder and that wouldn’t seem appropriate. They’ve lost to the Cavs so many times in the playoffs in recent years that another defeat would probably kill Larry Bird. Can you believe that guy is only 61? He definitely looks like one heartbreaking loss would just take him out.
