In a fair and just world, the three-point shootout over All-Star weekend would simply be the 8 best three-ballers in the league by percentage. No popularity contests, no meme Euro players unless they earned it, no Allen Iversons stinking it up, just the best of the best from the NBA. Right now, the top 8 looks like this:
1. Seth Curry
2. Joe Harris
3. Davis Bertans
4. Derrick Rose
5. Danilo Gallinari
6. Bojan Bogdanovic
7. Stephen Curry
8. Malcolm Brogdon
With Quinn Cook (???) and Monte Morris (???????) just missing the cut. Now look at that list. That’s a good list! So many storylines. Curry versus Curry, the redemption story in Rose, a couple meme Euro players (who earned it), a guy whose release is so slow that his time will expire halfway through the second rack (Brogdon) and the white American guy that everyone secretly wants to win, Joe Harris! He looks like a lumberjack, isn’t that great and funny?
For real though, he would probably win. Because he’s just as good as Klay Thompson. Switch their places, and put him on the Warriors and Klay on the Nets, and you would see that I’m right. I’m only exaggerating a little bit right now.
Also, as evidenced by this video, if there were some sort of “layup contest”, Harris would probably win that as well.
