Seth Curry is learning from the GOAT2 (GOAT1 is Kareem and Curry can’t learn much from him unless he wants to do skyhooks from three). He already has an MVP brother who he can learn from, but some lessons he can’t help with. LeBron is proficient in other areas of the game that Stephen isn’t, and has a deeper well of knowledge from which to draw from. He’s the perfect mentor, both on and off the court.
In this case, Seth doesn’t even need to talk to LeBron directly (as if he has a choice; I doubt LeBron would even look in Seth’s direction should he attempt to engage him in conversation) to gain valuable knowledge about the NBA. I’m taking the long way around here, so I’ll just get straight to the point.
Look at that headband in the thumbnail. Specifically, look at the GIRTH of the headband. Seth knows his hairline is messed up. It happens to everybody, but a lot of NBA players, they just go out there and let the whole world see their once-perfect hairline recede all the way up their head. It’s disgusting. Curry sees those people, and then he sees LeBron, who has pulled off the “headband so wide it covers all the bad bits” strategy with great success in Miami. It’s what helped him win a championship. At this point, LeBron would need a full-on yarmulke to cover up all the bad bits, no headband is hiding all the carnage, but Curry is not at that point yet. He just needs a little assist from the elastic god.
