Terrence Ross 25 Points Full Highlights (1/12/2019)

There are rumors that the Orlando Magic are looking to trade Terrence Ross. Great! My favorite time of the NBA year after 10-day-contract time, hard trade-deadline time, opening-night time, and closing-night time (regular season), is trade-rumors time. I love a good trade rumor or 10 or 100. There are so many permutations to analyze, so many teams to consider, but in the end, only one of those possibilities happens, or more often, none of them. I can’t even remember all the sweet trades we were promised that were practically complete and then never got transacted.

Supposedly the Pelicans are interested in Ross. I’m skeptical of them putting their “let’s make the playoffs and retain Anthony Davis” eggs into the “Terrence Ross” basket, but they’ve got to do something, right? And Ross is definitely acquirable, unlike someone who would be a true difference maker, like LeBron James. And do they really need more scoring? Their offense is fine.

The other part of the rumor is that supposedly the Magic don’t even really want to trade him. They want to trade Jonathon Simmons instead. Now, again, that makes sense that they’d want to trade the player who is seriously underperforming, underperforming more than any other player in the league over the player who is doing just fine (that’s Ross). But sometimes you just have to accept that no one wants your crappy player and if you want any sort of return, you have to give up something of at least marginal value.

Future people reading this description will know what happened in the end. Don’t ruin the surprise for everyone else, future people, don’t you dare go into the comments and tells us what happens.
