“Dear Diary,
Today we got to play in Orlando where I grew up! When I was little I went to Disney World all the time with my babysitter. It was so much fun meeting all the Disney characters like Goofy and Cinderella and Mickey. The best part is they remembered me every time I went, I could tell because they would always wave and smile and give me a big hug. Too bad Daddy was too busy with basketball to come with us, but I always told him about it when he got home.
When I was on the Clippers and we were playing in Orlando I always told Daddy that we should go to Disney World together because we never got to when I was a kid. Just like back then he was always too busy with coaching the team, and he would scold me for not taking my job as a basketball player seriously enough. That always made me cry, but I would go hide somewhere to cry so nobody would make fun of me. Disney World is the best place ever!
We played the Magic today and lost because the Beard Man missed a bunch of three-pointers. After the game he was all mad at everybody at hitting stuff with his hands. It made me scared, but Coach Mike made me feel better by coming over and saying that I played good today. I asked him if he wanted to go to Disney World so we could ride the rides, but he said that we were getting on the plane soon. If I had realized we had to leave Orlando so fast, I would have asked him before.
Don’t tell anybody this, Mr. Diary, but sometimes I wish I could get traded to Orlando so that I could go to Disney World all the time, whenever I wanted. Now I’m a big boy and could even go by myself. It’s not like I’d really be by myself because all the Disney characters are my friends and they would be there with me. One day I’ll marry Cinderella. She’s so pretty. I love her.
Thanks for listening, Mr. Diary.
