Okay, so I knew Brad Wanamaker I was old, but I was not prepared for how OLD he looks in real life. I guess I had only really seen him from afar, because the closeup shots of him presented during this Celtics broadcast shocked me to my very core. Look at that thumbnail. LOOK AT IT. He’s so lumpy.
But since he’s this season’s “Chris Copeland award for the random American who went overseas for a really long time and then randomly got an actual NBA deal for no reason” winner, I shouldn’t be too hard on him. He’s living his NBA dream right now, after it had seemed to slip from his grasp. That’s pretty cool. He doesn’t usually get to play, because he’s already 29 and not that good really, but he did tonight. Who needs Kyrie Irving and Marcus Smart when you’ve got Wanamaker? He’s like a combination of both of them, the offense of Smart and the defense of Irving!
I’m joking. I’m sure he can play defense better than Irving, otherwise there’s no way he’s be sniffing the NBA.
