Going into this, I expected the bulk of Ivan Rabb’s contributions in this game to come during the incredible amount of Danny Green-induced garbage time. Imagine my surprise when he actually did some things in the first quarter! Things must be really wonky in Memphis if they’re trotting out Rabb so early in the game (did Marc Gasol die?), but I’m not complaining. Perhaps we will see a return to the Grizzlies ultratank from last year?
Rabb would’ve had even more points if they didn’t TAKE HIM OUT with five minutes to go and the game still in the time of garbage. Why? Is there a bigger scrub on the roster who you more desperately need to develop? No. Well, yes to the first part, but not the second. Rabb has potential and stuff, and there’s a chance that he can become like a Skal Labissiere 1.5 if things go right. You can’t say that about Joakim Noah.
I didn’t want to mention this first, because the first few sentences of the description are what show up in the YouTube search, but man, this dude needs some Accutane. Holy crap. I don’t think I’ve ever seen acne/acne scarring so bad on an NBA player before, and I’ve seen a lot of Marcus Smart.
