Unlike certain other Serbians who play in the NBA, Bogdan Bogdanovic is not a triple-double machine. He has all the skills for it, but usually doesn’t have the raw volume necessary to make it happen. He is also not played as the primary ball-handler enough to get himself into double-digit assists, something that he’s only achieved twice in his career.
Bogdanovic was pretty close to the vaunted trippy-dubby with his 16-point, 8-rebound, 9-assist effort. That’s only three total stats away from the goal! I’m salivating at the thought of those sweet Serbian views flooding my channel to catch a glimpse of the master at work (the master being me, not Bogdanovic, although he can be masterful too at times).
He seemed to be right on track with his ten-point, six-assist, one-rebound first half. The one rebound is kind of worrying, but rebounds are the easiest stat to get. All you have to do is inform your teammates that all uncontested rebounds should be ceded to you. They’ll know what’s up. They know how much fun it is to get triple-doubles, and if they don’t actually know how fun it is because they’ve never done it, they’ll at least know that it’s fun to think about getting triple-doubles. Because everybody NBA player has experience with that.
