Before we get started on talking about De’Aaron Fox, I just want to say, I’m super DUPER excited to see Bruno Caboclo back in the league and chucking shots that he can’t really make at an incredible rate. I was hoping for a sweet revenge game on the team that discarded him last year (that team being the Kings, did anyone outside of Sacramento even realize he was there?), but it was kind of the opposite, as he bricked all his attempts in his 8 minutes or whatever. But still: stay tuned to DTB for the latest updates in Caboclo-world.
Okay, back to Fox. Looking at the thumbnail image, I was struck by the realization that he kinda looks like a black Ron Baker. Maybe I’m just losing my mind and there are no similarities at all, but the thought just came to me unbidden and now I can’t shake it out of there so I can replace it with more pressing thoughts. Like what I’m going to have for breakfast. Just kidding! It’s going to be Pop-Tarts. Again.
I don’t want to say that Fox has been in a slump, exactly, but he hasn’t been as electrifying as he was earlier in the season. Kings fans may debate me on this, but remember: they’re the ones who watch every game for their team and know exactly how all their players are doing, and I’m the random Internet guy who has to keep track of all 30 teams and pretends to have cogent opinions. So you know who has the more accurate picture here.
Re-reading this description, man, those paragraphs don’t really have anything to do with each other. Sorry! I’ll try to be more coherent next time.
