Maurice Harkless: most irrelevant starter in the league? His per-game statline of 6-4-1-1-1 doesn’t exactly excite, unless you’re a big fan of players who, if given way more minutes (like two full games worth), might be a threat to get a 5×5 (Harkless: ask Jusuf Nurkic for some tips!). I guess he’s a decent enough low-usage role-player to put next to the high-usage Chuck Bros, Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum. And he probably plays defense. But I don’t feel like anyone outside of Portland truly realizes that he still exists. Or that he ever existed, actually; his time in Orlando was similarly ignored.
I’m predicting view counts in the low teens for this video. An unnoticed role-player scoring only 16? Even I had my doubts about compiling this testatment to his ability to stay in the league. But I realized that this may be my only chance, as his previous season-high was 13 and there’s definitely no guarantee he ever surpasses the points (16) or the number of buckets (7) shown here.
Now, on to more pressing matters: what should I get for breakfast from McDonald’s? I didn’t notice during all the McDonald’s shilling they do during Trailblazers games what items I should be purchasing, but I do know that I definitely want them now. Who says that advertising doesn’t work?
