John Collins 22 Points Full Highlights (1/28/2019)

The writing on the wall is that John Collins won’t be an All-Star this season. He didn’t fare well in the fan voting (because Atlanta has no fans) and apparently the media and the players themselves hate him too. This is disappointing to me since I advocated so strongly for his cause; it’s like campaigning for a losing presidential candidate or going all-in on the “pesto” flavor when Lays is having a vote to figure out what kind of potato chips they should make next.

For your information, I’m not aware that pesto-flavored chips were ever attempted, by Lays or any other company, but I would do many things of an ethically questionable nature to get my hands on such a bag of chips.

I can still hold out hope that Collins somehow becomes an All-Star due to injury or due to him barging into the arena as the teams are getting picked and decking Giannis and announcing “I’m the captain now”. But those far-fetched scenarios are just that: far-fetched: It shouldn’t be this way for a second-year player who is inching ever closer to averaging 20/10 on the season (he’s at 19.5/10.0 at the time of this writing).
