Jahlil Okafor 25 Points Full Highlights (2/3/2019)

Anthony Davis can go screw off to LA or wherever, just as long as he doesn’t stay in New Orleans. Because I don’t know if he got the message, if he didn’t, well, he’s getting it now: this is Jahlil Okafor’s team now. I don’t think there’s a single fan in the whole state of Louisiana who would rather see Davis come crawling back to the Pelicans on his belly like a snake over the paint-scoring exhibitions that Okafor is putting on on a nightly basis. All it took was a few games, and the winds of public opinion shifted drastically.

Okafor does not make trade demands, even though he’s got enough to. He plays wherever he ends up, never complaining, never grumbling. He is low-maintenance. All you need to do is let him have the ball in the post a few or a few dozen times a game, and he’s happy as a clam. Meanwhile, I don’t think using 100 percent of possessions would be enough for Davis, who is a cancerous malcontent.

Tonight, again, we saw Okafor terrorize the opposition. What’s Dontwannas Playdefense gonna do against the girth and length of Okafor? We could have guessed the answer before the game even started, but it was shown to us clearly anyway: nothing. He could do nothing to stop Okafor from scoring the ball, or grabbing a rebound and then scoring the ball. This is the kind of game where Roy Hibbert would’ve been helpful, just saying.
