OFFICIAL GREENHOUSE STATUS UPDATE: (note: “Greenhouse” refers to the Rockets’ three-and-dunk specialist pair of Gerald Green and Danuel House)
Gerald Green had 25 points this game, the second-leading scorer behind James Harden. This is coming on the heels of another 25-point game four days ago. While he again didn’t make an impact in any stats column other than the points one (one rebound in 28 minutes, come on man, what are you doing out there, letting Tucker steal your rebounds?), he was efficient from the field and generally played well from my perspective. He also had two dunks. I love it when he dunks.
Danuel House did not play in this game and, thus, did not even come close to holding up his end of the “Greenhouse” nickname. I don’t know what’s wrong with him, if he got injured or benched or whatever, but there is no justification he could give me that would be satisfactory. If present trends continue, the Greenhouse nickname might have to be retired because it will be so imbalanced. Side note: House had no dunks in this game. That’s lame.
OFFICIAL DTB VERDICT: This game, Green was definitely the superior Greenhouse player, and it wasn’t even close.
