Marquese “Chriss Angel” Chriss was 1-for-15 from three with the Rockets. That was part of the reason everyone was so down on him, because on the Rockets, if you can’t hit your threes, you’re basically a useless bum who sucks and will never ever be useful to D’Antoni in any sense.
Now, in his three games as a Cavalier, he’s 6-for-10 from deep. You may say that’s a small sample size, and it is, but so was his Rockets stint and that didn’t stop everybody from dumping on him every chance they got. So there. Not saying that his 60 percent three-ball shooting will continue (it won’t), but I’m saying that sometimes a change of scenery is helpful to a player. Especially when that change of scenery is from a fanbase that hates their guts to a fanbase that is desperate for any player who can sometimes pretend to be a good basketballman.
Also, it’s good to see that he’s continuing his trend of missing dunks. He is, in my opinion, the best in the whole league at trying to dunk the ball and failing. He’s already missed two for the Cavs out of six attempts. I think he tried to dunk it TOO hard sometimes. That, and he tried to dunk everything no matter if it’s feasible or not.
