Derrick Favors 25 Points Full Highlights (3/6/2019)

I’ve been too nice to players recently. Even players worthy of criticism, worthy of my harshest words, I’ve been handling them with kid-gloves. Is it because Adam Silver said something about how NBA are more lonely and isolated than ever and I don’t want their feeling to get hurt because of the words of some third-tier YouTube celebrity? I don’t know. But I’ve got some pent up frustration, and look who we have here! Derrick “Dick Flavors” Favors. The BUST.

You don’t think he’s a bust? Ho ho ho. Here are the facts, loser:

-He was the third overall pick
-He’s averaging 11 points per game in his prime

Boom. Those are all the facts I need, and they are both perfectly factual. There is no way to refute them, no angle of attack on their truthfulness. Tell me, when you draft a guy third overall, do you want him to develop for almost a decade into a player who can barely score in double figures? Heck no. Players like that are commonly termed “busts”, and I don’t know how or why Dick Flavors has escaped the label for so long.

Escape is no longer possible for him. I have retrieved my label maker for storage and put a bright red “BUST” label directly on his forehead. Everyone can see him for what he really is, no more hiding behind “on-off numbers” and “per 36 stats” and “winning teams”.
