Avery Bradley 21 Points/5 Assists Full Highlights (3/16/2019)

How did the Grizzlies lose this game? They got tons of unexpected production from a ton of places. Chandler Parsons, who was clinically dead at points earlier this season, scored 16. Joakim Noah, who emerged from a grimy alley in Paris with nothing but the clothes on his back to play for the Grizzlies this season scored 15. Tyler Dorsey had 7, and Bruno Caboclo had 3. That’s like 40 points that should not, under any circumstances, been scored. The Grizzlies basically got 40 free points and they still couldn’t close the deal against the ‘Zards.

Not like they really wanted to win this game in the first place. Their tankjob isn’t nearly as intense as last year’s version, which featured some of the most ridiculously scrubtastic lineups I have ever seen, but their trade of Marc Gasol set the tone for the rest of the season. Still can’t believe he’s gone, really, and Raptors fans can’t believe how bad he looks now.

I just remembered that this is, nominally, supposed to be a description about Avery Bradley, but let’s be honest, there’s no reason to waste precious words on a player like him. Everything that can be said about has been said. He likes to shoot midrange jumpers. He used to play defense. The Celtics had way more of an identity when he was on the team. Here’s one new tidbit for you, since I know you’re addicted to tidbits: he’s like a smaller SG version of Khris Middleton. There. Happy now?
