Collin Sexton 28 Points Full Highlights (3/16/2019)

Collin “Collinoscopy” Sexton has now had five straight games that have been well over the twenty-point mark. Not only that, but he seems to have taken the mantle of “number one scoring option” away from Jordan Clarkson and is doing his best to keep Kevin Love from immediately taking that mantle and wearing it himself.

It’s easy for Sexton to do this because he’s still the point guard, which means he gets to handle the ball all the time even though his playmaking ability in the NBA is still in doubt. When you handle the ball every single possession, you control whether or not you’re the one taking the shot. Everybody else is at the whim of the primary ball-handler. They might not even get to touch the ball, much less in position to attempt a field goal. Sexton could shoot every possession if he wanted to, and honestly, he probably would do that if he didn’t have teammates to appease.

If you squint your eyes really tight while watching Sexton, you can almost imagine that it’s really Kyrie Irving you’re watching. The scoring instincts are all there. For the rest of the season, I recommend that all Cavs fans watch the games while squinting the entire time. In fact, they could do it one better and just fully close their eyes. That way, you can pretend that Cedi Osman and Collin Sexton are LeBron James and Kyrie Irving reunited at last to bring more championships to The Land. Or you can imagine yourself having intimate relations with the celebrity or coworker of your choosing. That would yet be more fun.
