I think Joakim Noah needs to rethink his hair situation. What he’s doing right now just isn’t working from a hair-management standpoint. As you can see from this video’s thumbnail image, his hair is just flying everywhere. Most of it remains contained in his bun, yes, but there’s like a halo of hair all around his head that’s too short to stay in the bun so it does its own thing.
I was a big fan of rookie Noah and his ponytail (none of this “man-bun” crap), but that amount of glorious hair is outside of Noah’s capabilities at this time. Perhaps his best bet is to use a preponderance of hair clips and bobby pins to keep all the various strands in one place through the whole game. He’s look a little bit funny, but, speaking as a guy who has long hair, anything is better than having stray strands getting in your face when you’re trying to shoot the ball.
Actually, since Noah’s calling card is his unrelenting intensity and crazy hustle, maybe the hair should stay how it is. The hair should match the player. If the player is wild and untamable, then the hair should also be wild and untamable.
