Seth Curry 20 Points Full Highlights (3/20/2019)

Seth Curry has proven to be a good enough shooter, first in his stints with Sacramento and Dallas, and now during his stint with the Blazers, that I’m sort of curious how he would function as maybe the number two option in an offense. In fact, I’m thinking that a C.J. McCollum type role, where his only responsibility is to be a good jumpshooter, would be perfect for him.

Unfortunately for the lesser Curry, he’s already in Portland and they already have a C.J. McCollum-type player filling the C.J. McCollum role. His name is C.J. McCollum and he fits the role just about as well as anybody else in the NBA. McCollum’s presence on the team means that Curry will never get the touches he deserves. Not until the last week of the season, anyway. That’s about when the Blazers will start resting their good players in preparation for the playoffs. Curry should thrive during this time.

But the real goal for Curry should be to find a team in the offseason that will give him a larger role on a one- or two-year deal. With a larger role comes a larger payday, the next time free-agency rolls around. He’s always going to be the poor/forgotten/ugly brother between him and Steph, but he’s a solid enough NBA player that he should at least be able to earn in his career what Steph earns in one season. That’s not too much to ask.
