I will be honest and forthright with you: making all these Trae Young videos is getting tedious. It’s just SO MANY ASSISTS. And SO MANY POINTS. This sounds like I’m complaining because I am complaining. Young was not supposed to be this good, this consistently, this quickly. He was supposed to have good games some of the time, bad games some of the time, and average games most of the time. Not just good game after good game after good game until the tedium of making all these damn highlight videos causes my psyche to shatter into thousands of fragments.
There’s not much season left, but if he keeps having good games, even the next three weeks are going to challenge my sanity. My only hope is that the Hawks bench him with a phantom injury so that they can tank better. A real injury would work too, but I’m not the guy who hopes that players get injured just so he doesn’t have to make highlight videos for him anymore. For example, I was totally not hoping that Jeff Teague would get injured. But now he did get injured and that conveniently lines up with my desire to never again make a Jeff Teague highlight video in my entire life (and all subsequent afterlives/reincarnations).
I’m totally losing it already. I’ve probably already used this theme for one or multiple Trae Young videos, but it’s all blurred together in my mind. Nothing makes sense anymore. Somebody rescue me from this self-imposed hell.
