Bryn Forbes 20 Points Full Highlights (3/22/2019)

I would say that Bryn Forbes did a decent job of matching James Harden tonight. Harden scored 61, which is only 41 points more than Forbes himself scored. 41 points isn’t that much in the grand scheme of things; only about a quarter-and-a-half’s worth of play for your average basketball team. Imagine how much of a blowout this would have been if Forbes hadn’t stepped up to the challenge of playing against the leading MVP candidate. It would have been embarrassing.

And, you know what? I didn’t see tears in Forbes’ eyes even one time. Not once did he cry from sheer frustration and awe at Harden’s scoring. If there were tears, he hid them deftly from the prying eyes of the cameras. That shows true guts and resilience, to not break down in heaving sobs after your team gets reamed by a dude with a hobo beard and moobies.

The next step for the Spurs is to bring back T-Mac so he can mentor Forbes and tell him how to score fifty points in a single game. It probably involves taking a lot more shots than Forbes is currently taking, but I’m not too sure. There could be more than that. That’s why you have to get T-Mac in there to guide the way for the young Forbes. Am I joking? It’s so hard to tell these days.
