Those years look like GARBAGE now. Sorry, Popovich. You may have unlocked the secret power of the corner three, but your protege, your finest student, is now succeeding more than ever now that he has been freed from your tyrannical rule.
I was going to bring up how he was a snub for the three-point contest. It’s a good thing I didn’t (though I sort of am now, in a roundabout way), because he actually was in the three-point contest this season, and that gaffe would’ve made me look like even more of an ignoramus than I have already proven to be. Now that I’m thinking about it harder, I even sort of remember him having literally no follow through at all during it. He was just flicking them up there, like he was scared he wasn’t going to finish.
It’s all coming back to me now. Thinking about Green is now making me remember Khris Middleton choking again in the shootout. I tried so hard to forget.
