Luke Kennard 20 Points Full Highlights (3/24/2019)

New plan for the Pistons: give Luke “The Nard” Kennard all the shots he wants until the end of the season. He needs to be given a fair chance here. There’s a lot of players whose true value only becomes apparent when they start chucking the air out of the ball during the meaningless games at the end of seasons.

Hold on. I’m receiving some important communications from my tubby little kitty Japurri Purrker…using the principles of Morse Code, his meows are telling me that the Pistons are actually embroiled in a pitched and heated race for the playoffs, thereby rendering their games meaningful instead of meaningless! That changes my plan for the Pistons. They can maybe up Kennard’s usage a little bit, but they shouldn’t try to change things up too much given that they’re playing well with the lineups they have now. If playoffs become guaranteed at some point (or they get eliminated from playoff contention), then my first plan (the Kennard chucking plan) can be enacted. Until then, hold off on that plan. It’s not a good plan for the current situation.

But, you know, I’m just saying, Marcus Thornton once averaged twenty points per game for a third of the season with the Kings because he got unlimited touches. Kennard could totally do something like that for the pistons. Just saying.
