IMPORTANT NOTE: even though the title says “1 Injury”, the actual footage of the injury is not included in this video, so you can watch this video at work without your boss wondering why you’re watching gore stuff. You can also watch this video if you (like I should’ve been doing) are purposefully trying to avoid seeing any depictions of Jusuf Nurkic having his season ended in gruesome fashion.
The footage of a ref trying to kick his leg back into alignment is also, by extension, not included.
Personally, I saw maybe a second of the injury, while making this video, to see if maybe it was okay to put in this video. As you know or have guessed by now, it’s not. It’s not okay. I saw the snap, and I, as the kids say, “noped out of there”. If you really want to see it, I think it’s been uploaded a million times on every conceivable video hosting platform. It’s hard to avoid, but I’m not going to be the guy who tricks a bunch of people into seeing something they don’t want to see. I’ve done that by rickrolling people, but that’s different. Not the same at all.
By the way, this really reminded me of a more obscure NBA player’s injury (except like times 20 in terms of brutality), which you can see here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ
Enough about the injury. Instead, let’s focus on the beast of a game he was having before he suffered total ossicular catastrophe: 32 points, 16 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, 4 blocks. We already knew he could stuff the stat sheet enough to get a five-by-five, and given another few overtimes, maybe he could’ve done it again. Maybe he could’ve scored 40. He was dominating all facets, and that is what I choose to remember from this game.
