Including the attempts from this game, Bojan Bogdanovic is 154/359, or 42.8%, on three-pointers this season. That’s pretty good. Not only is that pretty good, that’s really good. That’s a mark that puts him among the elite three-point shooters in the league. However, when I think about the good times I’ve had in my life, I primarily think of that stretch of time where Bogdanovic was shooting over 50% from three. That was truly a magical time that I would like to see brought back.
Luckily for Bojangles, he only needs to make his next 55 three-pointers in a row to shoot 50% on the season again. That’s roughly seven threes a game for the Pacers’ remaining eight games, without missing. It’s tough, but doable. I myself have hit seven three-pointers in a row multiple times. Since Bojangles is a much better shooter than me, he should be able to do it as long as he focuses extra hard on his shots and makes sure to only take shots that aren’t well-contested.
This isn’t just for my benefit, to bring joy back into my life by way of Bogdanovic shooting 50% on shots from the threezone. It’s also for the Pacers’ benefit, because having a high-volume 50% three-point shooter on your roster is probably the most fearsome thing you can have. A mentally weak team like, for example, the Celtics, would completely fold up and die as soon as they realized they would have to play against somebody that good. It’s the ultimate psychological weapon.
