Seth Curry 20 Points Full Highlights (3/27/2019)

Who even needs C.J. McCollum? Not the Blazers, and not anyone else either, because right now all 30 NBA teams (except for the Knicks) are doing just fine without him playing any minutes at all. As I’ve said before, Seth Curry is kinda the perfect McCollum replacement, doing all the same things, but on lower volume. And since my never-spoken-but-always-though opinion of the sitch in Portland was “I think McCollum is taking shots away from Damian Lillard who should be shooting 40 times a game”, lower volume for Curry is a good thing.

It remains to be seen whether the Blazers actually need Jusuf Nurkic. I’m guessing “yes, badly”, because one win against a tanking Bulls team doesn’t mean much. Curry doesn’t do a whole lot to replace Nurkic’s impact on the game, but luckily that’s not his job. That’s Meyers Leonard’s job.

I feel like a lot of people forgot about Curry when he missed all of last season with that leg injury. You wouldn’t think people could forget about the tarsier-looking brother of one of the most exciting players in the league, but people did. People are starting to notice again. “People” being “DownToBuck”. I think it will take a few more 20-burgers (he’s had three in four games now, I’m sensing a serious and disturbing trend) and maybe a reference in a semi-hit hip-hop track before NBA fans in general will really start to notice his game.
