Someone please give Rashad Vaughn another chance in the league. I’m bringing this up because Bryan Forbes is the player currently in the NBA that most reminds me of Vaughn. Their jumpers are very similar. Forbes has several advantages over Vaughn, being good at shooting foremost among them, but he’s second place (in this comparison, for all NBA players he’s more like 127th) in my heart.
You know that song by Journey called “Don’t Stop Believin'”? I heard that song, and it motivated me to never stop believing that Vaughn can be a high-class NBA role player. Not like I was ever going to stop believing that, because I’m irrationally attached to Vaughn and will be forever, but maybe if you listen to it you, too, will become a believer. If Forbes can be a starter for the Spurs, even though he wasn’t even drafted by any team (which indicates that he sucks), Vaughn (who was drafted in the first round, indicating that he’s good) can certainly at least get a 15th-man roster spot. Or a two-way. I’d even be happy with a two-way at this point.
Also, and I know this description has barely been about Forbes at all, but seeing Manu Ginobili get his jersey retired made me want to remind you that he’s nothing but a flopper. I ignored that point for most of the Ginobili vids I did because I was pandering to Argentinians, but since they’re not watching this video (presumably) I can say what I really think. His career, to me, is defined by his flopping. Just like Chris Paul’s. Manu did some legitimately great things, but when I think of him, I think “flopper”. Everything else is a distant second. Dislike the video if you want. I welcome it.
