Collin Sexton 24 Points Full Highlights (3/28/2019)

I feel like Collin Sexton is taking advantage of me right now. He knows that I’m committed to making highlight videos for him (as I am for all rookies), so he’s purposely scoring twenty points or more in pretty much every game since the All-Star break. He must be very vain if his primary motivation for high-scoring performances is to appear on the world-renowned and well-respected DownToBuck YouTube channel. And I must be the world’s biggest rube, because I keep making the videos even though there are things I’d rather be doing with my time.

The wins aren’t following in the wake of Sexton’s improved play, but we’re not at the point yet where we can expect him to help a team win. Very few rookie point guards come out of the gate ready to win games, just because of the difficult nature of the position. I’m in no way blaming Sexton for the Cavs’ pathetic record this season. You could put a mid-tier point guard like George Hill on this roster, and maybe even put some jumpshooting vets like J.R. Smith and Kyle Korver around him, and they still wouldn’t win any games. Sexton, by himself, won’t drag this team to wins. That’s Kevin Love’s job (and he’s not doing a very good job of it).

One day I will have to have a discussion with myself as to Sexton’s status on my channel. His strong month of March is already getting me thinking about it in a vague way. That’s something I never thought I would say after watching him repeatedly stink up the court for the first couple months he was in the league.
