Darren Collison 24 Points/9 Assists Full Highlights (3/30/2019)

The Pacers keep losing. They had that gigantic win against Denver, but other than that, it’s been nothing but a torrent of L’s heading their way. That’s, uh, not what you want heading into the ‘offs (that’s street slang for “playoffs”). Especially if your first round opponent is going to be the Celtics. The Celtics are a deeply flawed team, but they have a lot of talent and maybe they’ll figure out how to use it between now and when the ‘offs start. The Pacers, to put it mildly, don’t have a lot of talent. They’re already maximizing all the talent they have except for T.J. Leaf, who is getting marginalized.

Like, what more can someone like Darren Collison be doing? He’s already at his max in terms of impact. He can’t turn it up any higher. You can beg and plead all you want for him to do better at filling some of the massive Victor Oladipo-shaped hole that is hurting the Pacers, but it’s not going to do anything. Maybe, MAYBE, he could up his three-pointer volume to take advantage of how well he shoots it. But would he keep shooting it as well if he wasn’t as choosy with his shot selection? He’s had basically the same rate on threes attempted for his whole career, so I doubt he wants to change that now. Even if he could be Stephen Curry 0.6.1a.
