Frank Kaminsky 22 Points Full Highlights (4/5/2019)

Frank Kaminsky is a free-agent this season. I’m guessing he’s probably actually maybe a restricted free-agent or something (maybe), and maybe there’s some Bird Rights thrown in there too (whatever those are), but what I know for sure is that his contract doesn’t have any more years left on it. This is the last one.

I wouldn’t be too surprised if Michael Jordan told his GM, Mitch Ketchup, to double-down on the mistake that was originally drafting Frank Kaminsky. While Kaminsky has been a decent-ish, sort of okay player, he’s not what MJ envisioned when he turned down that insane offer of five draft picks (plus controlling stock in IBM and a position on the MIT board of trustees) that the Celtics offered for the Kaminsky pick. MJ could possibly save a small amount of face by pretending that Kaminsky is the center of the future for the Hornets and signing him to a four-year, fifty-million dollar deal.

If that doesn’t happen, there are plenty of other teams who want a tall guy who can shoot three-pointers at a league-average percentage. Kaminsky has been, to use a term, SHOWING OUT since the beginning of March, and rival GM’s are probably taking notice. However, there should be a note next to Kaminsky’s name on their free-agent targets list that is on a conference-room whiteboard: (only produced because it was a contract year and he wanted to get paid).
