Just two days ago, I typed these agonizingly stupid words in the description of a Richaun Holmes highlight video:
“I mean, Booker’s out too. Who else is gonna score the ball? Ray Spalding? LOL (lots of laughs)”
Well, there’s definitely somebody laughing a lot in this situation, and it’s not me. It’s Ray Spalding. After posting a season high of eight points, and having only two games under his belt where he made more than one field goal, he just went out against the defense-less Pelicans and dropped 21 like he’s done it before.
The entire time, I could see him smirking at the TV cameras because he knew I’d be watching. He obviously read my mean-spirited words and used them as motivation to have the best game of his NBA career by far. You can practically see his contempt for me oozing from his pores like two-day-old pus mixed with cheeseburger-flavored toothpaste. And I deserve it. I deserve all the contempt he can give me and more for my dismissive manner towards him in a previous video description.
I hope this video is enough atonement for him. Otherwise, I am perfectly willing to be strapped to a cross and stabbed with spears. Just let me know, Ray. I feel really bad about this.
