The good news: Delon “Wright as Wrain” Wright had his second-straight triple-double tonight after not having any triple-doubles at all in the first 193 games of his career. That’s not strictly good news for me (since I am currently overburdened by highlight videos that need to be made), and it’s not strictly good news for Grizzlies fans (who might be worried about their team overpaying for Wright’s services this offseason) but it’s good news for fans of scrubs, a category which comprises most of my subscriber base.
The bad news: Delon Wright missed the game-winning three-point attempt with no time on the clock and his team down by two in overtime. It wasn’t the worst look ever, but it was a well-defended stepback which Wright airballed. I suppose that the triple-double man has earned the right (heh) to take the last shot, but I personally would have given the shot to Bruno Caboclo, because why not?
The other good news: Delon Wright is playing great lately, which means Raptors fans are looking at Jeremy Lin, who has been playing like booty sauce, with anger and disappointment. Under no circumstances should Lin have been this much worse than Wright, but that’s what’s happening right now. Anything that increases the amount of anguish in Raptors’ fans’ lives is A-OK by me.
The other bad news: I already resent Delon Wright in the same way that I resented Elfrid Payton after he got four straight trippy-dubbies.
