Christian Wood Career High 26 Points Full Highlights (4/9/2019)

The Pelicans’ season is over. It was another mediocre season for the New Orleans franchise, but there’s a difference between this mediocre season and past mediocre seasons: this time around, there won’t be any Anthony Davis next season. Having him on the team always gave the fans hope for the season. Now there is no hope.

Or is there? Christian Wood has another year left on his deal. He’s not going anywhere unless he gets traded. He can be the source of hope for Pelicans fans who need it wherever they can get it. I have taken the liberty of creating a list of things that Wood can do just as well as Anthony Davis:

-Hit jumpshots
-Dunk
-Drive to the basket
-Rebound
-Be tall and lanky
-Utilize his athletic gifts to score in creative ways
-Play defense
-Score twenty points with little to no effort

And here’s a list of the things that Wood DOESN’T do that Anthony Davis does:

-Betray his teammates in the middle of a season
-Demand trades
-Accumulate small injuries over the course of the season until it’s just one big body-wide injury
-Have a big, gross unibrow
-Get paid a franchise-crippling amount of money
-Be the leader of a perpetually underachieving team
-Wear a shirt that says “That’s All Folks” to his final game with the franchise in order to troll fans

As you can see from the two lists above, the Pelicans should have no problem bouncing back from the loss of AD. Assuming they keep their grip firmly on the Wood, of course.
