Georges Niang Career High 24 Points Full Highlights (4/10/2019)

Jeff Van Gundy brought up an interesting point at the end of this video, a timely point considering the nature of the performances we saw on the last night of the regular season. His take: all these high-scoring, career-high-setting games by “scrubs” show how incredibly talented even the most marginal NBA players are. I almost feel like he was talking directly to me while he said it, with his implication being “stop calling people scrubs all the time DTB”.

So I want to clarify. When I say something like “Georges Niang sucks and is a scrub”, I mean comparatively, compared to other NBA players. Obviously, if Niang was playing in the NCAA tournament he could take a team of DIV-III players from Redneckia Bible College to at least the Elite Eight. And I don’t mean to denigrate his talent, or the insane amount of work it has taken for him to get here. I just mean, that compared to someone good like LeBron James or D.J. Wilson, he isn’t that good. At all. That’s all I’m saying.

With that said, this scrubust (scrub and bust combined) just had the game of his life, scoring 24 points and making my last career-high video of him from last game look like total worthless garbage. Even though he is both a scrub and a bust, I will say that 24 points is a very legit amount of points. It’s not as legit as Grayson Allen’s 40, and some of the shots he was taking didn’t have much business going in, but who am I to talk? I’m the guy who takes cheap potshots at dudes making millions of dollars while begging for scraps on my Patreon and living a life of hate and sadness.
