Jerami Grant 28 Points Full Highlights (4/10/2019)

If you had told me before the season that Jerami Grant would be far and away the better player between him and Markieff Morris, I would have considered your statement carefully for a few seconds and then said, “That is possible, I suppose, but I am very skeptical.” I also would have wondered what the point of the comparison was, given that Morris didn’t go through his whole trade/waive/re-sign process until later in the season.

But it’s true. Jerami Grant is looking like an elite role-player for the Thunder, and Morris is looking like whatever the opposite of an elite role-player is. A scrub, I guess. He looks like a scrub. Grant is the raw prospect with a shaky jumper, while Morris is the veteran scorer, but Grant is just so much better than Morris at this point that it feels like the universe is playing a big practical joke on all of us.

Somewhat related to all that is the fact that Marcus Morris is probably better than Jerian Grant, but, given how much Celtics fans love to moan about Morris, I think they’d rather have Jerian at this point.
