Patrick Beverley 17 Points Full Highlights (4/24/2019)

This video likely doesn’t do justice to the performance that Patrick Beverley had against the Warriors. It shows the points, which were a big part of it, for sure. I would never not show the points (except for that one time involving Jose Calderon, but let’s not talk about that). That’s the most important part of all but the most pointless and depraved “highlight” video. I didn’t watch this game, but I can assume that there was a lot of defense and intensity brought to the table by Beverley, and you don’t get to see any of that. You also don’t get to see his assists, because who wants a couple lame dimes interrupting him dad-donging the Larriors with his magnum dong?

Beverly has been beefing a bit with Kevin Durant this series, which is fun. Who doesn’t love a good beef? Durant may have come out ahead in the points department, with Beverley and everyone else doing little to slow him down as he dropped 45, but guess who has to hold this L? It’s Durant, along with his butt-buddies that make up this pathetic Golden State team. Beverley scored 17, way less than 45, but the way he did it was much more powerful. So powerful that he decided he didn’t need to score for the last 20 minutes of the game.

There are still people out there treating the Warriors winning the championship as a forgone conclusion. And, indeed, it’s still a very likely outcome. But they are not unbeatable. The Clippers, a ragtag bunch composed entirely of 6th men and goofy starters, have already taken two games off them. The Warriors will probably win the series, but what happens when they face the Rockets? Or if they go further, the Raptors or Bucks? These are all teams who have very real paths to victory over a 7-game series. Maybe this paragraph will look really ridiculous when the Warriors sweep their way to yet another ring, but I’m standing by it.
