It’s somewhat unfortunate that Norman Powell fouled out of this game with a minute to go in regulation. Not only because the circumstances of the foul were questionable (he was pushed before he committed the foul), but because he is a certified BUCKS KILLER. I don’t know if it’s because he was part of the Greivis Vasquez trade or what, but Powell is such a force against the Bucks that he actually has a framed certificate in his home office from the official Bucks Killer Certification Board (BKCB).
(P.S. I hate Greivis Vasquez so god damn much)
If Powell had been allowed to play in the first overtime, I have no doubt that he would have scored at least six points. Maybe eight or ten. And if, after Powell’s scoring outburst in the extra period, another overtime was still required, he would have scored twelve in that one, if not more. That is how firmly convinced I am of his status as BUCKS KILLER.
Since Powell is so good against the Bucks, one has to wonder why he got just nine minutes off the bench in game one. And that was following a DNP-CD in game seven of the semis against the Sixers. Does anybody out there have Nick Nurse’s personal cell phone number so I can dial him up and do a little impromptu interview? I also have some questions about Fred Van Vleet that need to be addressed.
