OFFICIAL PROS AND CONS OF TROY DANIELS GOING TO THE LAKERS
PROS:
-The Lakers get a legitimate three-point threat who can fit in with any lineup as long as you don’t expect him to do anything other than hit threes
-The Lakers commentators don’t have to say the “Fulton Homes Donates $100 to Suns Charities” spiel after every made three
-Daniels gets a bit more national exposure than he was getting in Memphis, Charlotte, or Phoenix. Shoe deal incoming? Inside sources tell me yes!
-Anything that reduces Kentavious Caldwell-Pope’s minutes is a good thing.
CONS:
-Him being good means Lakers fans are happy, which makes me mad because Lakers fans don’t deserve good things. They’ve already had too many good things. They only deserve bad things.
-Daniels might not be ready to get scapegoated by such a huge fan base, but if he hits a cold shooting streak, they’ll scapegoat him until the are no more goats left to scape.
-Daniels is a one-dimensional three-point shooter who will only rarely contribute anything else. His shot charts are crazy to look at.
-When LeBron decides he needs more “help”, he won’t realize that “help” has been sitting there on the bench this whole time and “help”‘s name is Troy Daniels.
