First off, I just want to apologize for the way this video looks. Something with the Pacers’ camera settings combined with the Nets’ gray-colored court makes this video looks like it was doused in urine. Or puke. Or both. It’s really more of a yellow tinge, so like an 80/20 ratio of urine to puke. I don’t even know why I’m apologizing because it’s not my fault, but whatever. That’s just how it. You know that modern art piece called “Piss Christ”? This is like the video version of that, except Jeremy Lamb is the Christ.
Video coloration aside, it’s nice to see Lamb back on the court and contributing. I thought he was one of the league’s most underrated scorers last year. Kind of a weird thing to say about a guy who only averaged 15 points per game, but he was still underrated because literally no one was talking about him. That’s what being on the Hornets will do to a guy, and honestly, people aren’t going to care too much about him in Indiana either. Can we, like, start one of those change.org things to get him traded to the Warriors so he can average 20 for a team that still has quite a bit of national cachet despite literally imploding before our eyes? I promise to use my botnet to sign the petition thousands of times if someone else takes the initiative here.
If he doesn’t get traded, that’s cool too, even if his skillset overlaps quite a bit with T.J. Warren (that skillset being “pure bucket getter”). If the Pacers can somehow expand the Brogdon/Sabonis pick-and-roll to include Lamb (they did it a few times this game), then their offense will be golden. That’s a big three right there.
