Richaun Holmes 17 Points/3 Blocks Full Highlights (10/30/2019)

Through five games of the season, Richaun Holmes is probably the Kings’ best performer. That’s not a good thing, because he’s just a random role-player big with a super limited game, and he’s actually only been good in 2 out of the 5 contests. He backed his way into this accolade, as pretty much all the rest of his teammates are ranging in quality from “barely middling” to “putrid dumpster sauce”. Honorable mention goes out to Harrison Barnes for somehow managing to shoot 50 percent from the field so far.

This is the spot in the description where I would clamor for more minutes and touches for The Holmie, but even I, the most notorious Holmes-stan on the entire internet, know that trying to force the issue on offense with him isn’t going to work. Give him more minutes, for sure, and just make sure that he doesn’t let his energy levels dip because of all the losing. If Holmes starts being sluggish, the Kings might as well not play any of the rest of their games because they’re not going to win any of them.

It’s funny, but I actually didn’t think of Luke Walton as that bad of a coach when he was with the Lakers. I guess having the luxury of LeBron James bailing the team out every possession made him look better than he was, because without such a player his team is looking like total crud on offense. Now, let me find that 12 assist game I uploaded for Walton a couple years ago and reupload it.
