Tristan Thompson 23 Points/5 Blocks Full Highlights (10/30/2019)

Last night, Tristan Thompson made eleven field goals. Only twice in his career has he made more than that, once in 2012 and once in 2014. He also attempted nineteen field goals, which is a career high. For a guy who’s not known as a scorer, he sure was doing it a lot in this game.

There were only three players last night who made more shots than Tristan Thompson:

-James Harden (18): This doesn’t count because nobody was playing defense in this game. In case you forgot, the Rockets-Wizards game ended with a score of 159-158 in regulation.
-Bradley Beal (14): This also doesn’t count for the reasons stated above.
-Pascal Siakam (13): This doesn’t count because if Kawhi was still in Toronto as he should be, Siakam wouldn’t get to attempt this many shots.

There were also a number of players who made eleven shots just like Thompson did:

-Mike Conley (11): He sucks this year so this doesn’t count. Leaving Memphis destroyed him. This was just a fluke, never to be repeated.
-Domantas Sabonis (11): Anybody can make eleven buckets if they run endless pick-and-rolls with Malcolm Brogdon. Doesn’t count.
-Jeremy Lamb (11): Two words: stat padding. Doug McDermott should have been taking these shots. Two more words: team cancer.

As you can see, Thompson clearly had the most impressive scoring performance of the night. His floaters and hook shots were bamboozling every defender the Bulls tried on him. His ability to dunk in second-chance points was on point. His shot-blocking intensity drove home the win. Yeah, all those other guys just suck. LeBron, it’s now time to come home and rejoin the best teammate you’ve ever had.
