Everyone always clowns on the Thunder for drafting and then giving away so many MVP winners, which is fair, because they didn’t even win ONE championship with all that talent, but lost in all the clowning is the fact that they gave away Jeremy Lamb for… wait for it… you’re seriously not going to guess this one… my jaw literally flopped open when I saw it…
Luke Ridnour!
And a second-round pick!
Wow!
At the time of the trade, Lamb wasn’t all that good. He was drafted as a development project to see if he could turn into some sort of 6th-man scorer type, and while he was getting there, he was still pretty far away.
But look at him now, Thunder fans, and weep. He’s been scoring in the mid-teens for bad teams! Don’t you, as a bad team, wish you had a crafty small-forward scorer who doesn’t really do much else? Well, you had such a player, and you ditched him for the oft-traded corpse of Ridnour. I hope you’re happy.
