Marcus Morris made a triumphant return to his old stomping grounds, dropping 29 points including 15 in the fourth quarter and hitting a game-tying three with four seconds left before Jayson Tatum ruined his return with a game-winner. How rude! This was all set to be like something out of story, with Morris going off even harder in the overtime to win the game as the boos rained down from the fans of the team who foolishly let Morris go. That’s what I was expecting to see, instead I get stupid Taint-Dumb hitting a stupid midrange jimbo and the Knicks not even getting another shot off.
It’s not like I even like Morris. I definitely don’t. I just storybook endings. Morris himself can go back to the parking lot to beat up some dude who was talking about his mother or whatever. Maybe while he’s at it he can remorselessly screw over the Spurs again.
I don’t even know why Morris would pass up an opportunity to join the Spurs in favor of going to a Knicks team that he had to know wasn’t going to be very good. Is it because the Spurs are too clasy of an organization for him, and the Knicks are more of a fit culture-wise? I can see why wanting to play for a doucher like James Dolan would be appealing to a doucher like Morris.
