You’ve probably seen it a million times by now (and if you’re a Warriors fan, you saw it live and in the flesh), but to remind you, here’s the lineup that the Warriors dynasty started tonight:
Ky Bowman
Jordan Poole
Glenn Robinson
Eric Paschall
Willie Cauley-Stein
That’s not a good lineup. It could be worse (I’m looking at Robinson and WCS and noting that they do have a fair amount of NBA experience), but it could definitely be better. A lot better. Maybe replace Bowman with Stephen Curry, Poole with Klay Thompson, Robinson with Draymond Green, Paschall with Kevin Durant, and Willie Cauley-Stein with Andrew Bogut. Yeah, that looks like a way better lineup. Why didn’t they do something like that instead?
But it is not my place to question the organization that is, in their own words “light years ahead” of everyone else, so we’ll leave that point for now and move on to the more interesting question:
Who the heck is Ky “Jelly” Bowman?
If you really want to know, just watch this video to find out. I’m not going to waste words when we’ve got a whole 2-minute vid showing what he can do. Is this a representative sample of his game? I have no idea. Talk to Zach Lowe or someone who actually has time to watch all these game, because I’m just some guy who is so busy clipping together vids that he doesn’t get to watch as many real full unbroken basketball games as he would maybe like to.
