Robert Williams 11 Points/6 Blocks Full Highlights (11/9/2019)

Robert “Timelord” Williams III had such a good performance in this game that the Celtics commentators were incoherently babbling and giggling to themselves like lunatics by the end of this video. I assume their descent continued until the end of the game where they were just grunting and making fart noises with their mouths, but Williams didn’t get to keep playing.

Normally when Williams doesn’t get to keep playing, it’s because he hasn’t been playing well enough to warrant more minutes. Tonight, it was because he was playing SO WELL that continuing to play him would constitute “rubbing it in” and would be considered unsportsmanlike. Personally, I would’ve liked to see him stay in for the rest of the game, see if he can get a triple-double with blocks, and I know I’m not the only one who thinks that. Opportunities for such a high concentration of Timelord highlightage are few and far between, and should be taken advantage of as much as possible by Brad Stevens.

Believe it or not, this is the first vid I’ve ever gotten to make for this dude. I thought about doing some block-ilation or dunk-ilation for him, but then I ran out of time. I want to apologize for that. It won’t happen again, and the -ilations will be way sicker this year anyway.

I will say that the Celtics are a lot more fun to root for these days. Williams getting consistent minutes is one of the reasons, and I bet you can figure out some of the other ones (hint: I hate Marcus Morris so much). If the Bucks got swept by them in the second round, I don’t think I would even be mad. I bet Williams would block the Lopezes combined like 20 times in such a series; he has no patience for people shooting shots in his vicinity.
